For 1 portion you will need:

  • 4 flat spoons of oatmeal (lowers cholesterol, helps to burn fat and fils you up for long so you don’t feel hungry and don’t have appetite for a snack)
  • handful of walnuts (great source of antioxidants, omega-3 fats, vitamins C, B6, B12, K, E- improve heart function, bone health and metabolism, help to control diabetes)
  • 1 apple (contains 8 milligrams pf vitamin C per medium-sized fruit, which amounts to roughly 14 percent of your daily recommended intake  – apples contain antioxidants, prevent lungs problems, and help your memory)
  • 1/2 half teaspoon of cinnamon (lowers blood sugar levels, reduces heart disease risk factors)
  • milk (for even more healthy version use soya milk)

IN THE MORNING
Place oatmeal and walnuts in a bowl. Add milk to make oatmeal and nuts softer.  Put the bowl into the microwave for 2 minutes to heat it up. Cut apple in cubes and add to the bowl. Sprinkle with cinnamon. You can add more milk if you like it thinner.

THE NIGHT BEFORE
You can also start preparing this breakfast the night before to save even more time in the morning: You can keep the bowl with oatmeal, nuts and milk in the fridge over the night. Cut apples in cubes and keep them in a box. In the morning you will just need to place the bowl in the microwave and add apples and cinnamon.

FOR SUPER BUSY BEES
If you are running super late you can put everything in a box and warm it up at work.

Enjoy! 🙂
