Skin Care Routine to Keep Your Skin Balanced
Taking care of your skin is a crucial element of balanced life regardless if you are busy business woman or on vacation. Having healthy skin will help you to enjoy better work-life balance. Today I would like to share with you my skin care routine. As you may know I became mom a few months ago. The first months after delivery can be super busy. Still I tried not to resign from a proper skin care and find some me-time. Taking care of your skin on a regular basis is a key. Here you have five simple steps to follow to look and feel great:
- Cleanse
Your skin will never look great without proper cleansing twice a day. As a sleep deprived mom it can be hard to follow the routine, but I have tried to stick to it. Studies has shown that evening cleansing routine is essential to keep your skin feeling young. Overnight, you skin repairs itself, so spending the night with your makeup on deprives it of oxygen and blocks this natural way of nutrition.
- Moisturize
Your skin can be thirsty too. Apply a lightweight moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and supple. My tip would be to apply a moisturizer a few minutes after showering or bathing. It will help your skin absorb lost moisture while your pores are open. My favourite moisturizing cream at the moment is Bandi cream with hyaluronic acid. It brings my skin great relief especially now during summer. Using a separate eye cream for dark circles or puffy eyes will make you look fresh. Now you are ready for a new day with your little one.
- Protect
Before going out, do not forget to shield your skin from the sun by using a sunscreen. Protect yourself even on cloudy or overcast days, as UV rays can penetrate clouds. It is vital for keeping your pigmentation problems away. Recently, I have fallen in love with Bandi protective cream with SPF 20, which protects my skin from sun damage. I would recommend to:
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure, especially during the midday hours
- Wear sun-protective clothing such as hats, cover-ups and sunglasses
- Avoid deliberate tanning
- Exfoliate
Try to exfoliate once a week by using a mild scrub or a face brush. It will help you to remove the dead cells from your skin and let it glow. It also helps to lighten dark spots and reduce acne as well. My personal favourite tool to exfoliate is Mia – gentle sonic face brush .
I would love to know what are your tips to keep your skin balanced?
